Hobbies

1.  Volunteer in Wat Moli temple community (2018-Present)

Wat Molilokayaram was appointed as the monastic educational institute with an aim to provide the education of dhamma scriptures of both Pali language and dhamma essence.   The Pali tuition is given to more than 250 monks and novices holding Buddhist Theology from end of December to beginning of March of each year. We came here to assist their food and beverage team to serve food and drink during monks’s study and exam period.

2.  Volunteer in Hua Rot Jak and Klong Toey Community (2018-Present)

The community has been designated a “Red Zone” and its negative reputation of widely seen crime, alcohol abuse, and drug usage. My responsibility here is a part-time teacher to teach the under privileged children.  Most of them are denied the opportunity to get a formal education. I feel that it is necessary to encourage them with love, care and guide them to understand the value of education and learn the right information of how to be away from drugs and misbehaved things. From time to time we made a donation of food snacks and learning equipment to community to let them know there is someone to think about and care of them.

3.  Volunteer In Bangkok Noi community area : Nak Klang and Rakang Community (2018-Present)

Bankgok-Noi community is one of the most covid-19 case in Bangkok which is populated by jobless or low-waged individuals and families. I have asked the Lion Heart Society to allocated budget for food aid and donation including rice pack, cooking oil, eggs and our home-grown vegetable.

4.  Volunteer in Poomvej Pakkret Reception Home for Boys (2018-Present)

Most of the kids in this foster home were neglected since they were young which may result from various factors such as poor parenting or unsupportive family systems. The Lionheart team believes that the secret of happiness is giving to others and money is not always the solution. Small events were organized which included a lucky draw, pizza party and mini concert from our member. It was such a joyful moment from these children while they sang along to the songs they were familiar with.

5.  Volunteer in Sharing to Deaf Project (2020-2021)

My sisters and I coordinated with “The Deaf Regional of Central in Thailand” in designing and producing face masks for the deaf to communicate. The only difference from a normal mask is a transparent plastic rectangle made from EVA material which is eco-friendly and it is bio-degradable. So, the mouth is visible. This allows deaf people to lip read. There are total of 90 deaf people from 180 residents. Most of these people are maids, gardeners, garbage men, etc. We are the first group who provide this kind of support so that they could continue their jobs as usual.

6.  Volunteer in Supporting Essential Services and Frontline health works in hospital around Bangkok (2020-2021)

I tried to make the best use of my time in helping others during the covid19 time. I learnt how to make hand sanitizing gel, face shields, and face masks. I was able to produce 500 units of face masks, 3500 ml of sanitizing alcohol, and 50 units of face shields. I gave them to kids, factory workers, garbage men, health workers, hospitals.

7.  Volunteer in Salaya Community (2020-2021)

This community is located out of Bangkok area in Phutthamonthon district, Nakorn Prathom province. Here had less access to the vaccine and food security. So the Lionheart Society provided funds from our veggies sales to improve the quality of life of the people living in the area.

8.  Volunteer in Samut Sakorn Community (2020-2021)

Samut Sakon is Thailand’s biggest fishing towns 40 km from Bangkok. Most people do fishing as the area is closed to the Thai GULF. However, during the pandemic, the city was announced to be Covid-19 red zone and was put under lockdown with a curfew for several times. I have brought funding from selling organics vegetable from Veggies from the Heart project to support relief package including basic food and essential items for a family of four for about two weeks.

About Me

My name is Mark, and I am the leader of this project. Even though I am still a high school student, nothing can stop my life-long passion and dream of becoming a smart farmer. I am always dedicated, inquisitive, and motivated to achieve my ultimate goal of creating a sustainable economy and uplift the living standard of people in my hometown. I wrote and published a book titled "ข้าวใจ - Paddy Patters: The Heartbeat of Thailand," which narrates my personal experience regarding the local planting process and the introduction of an innovative business model to increase farming efficiency and revenue. I hope that my story on this website will help many of you reflect on yourself and your community and determine ways to develop and optimize things around you, big or small.
